Joseph Oat’s documented Quality Assurance System has been developed and refined through more than forty years. Our system is written and executed to conform to the requirements of ASME NQA-1 and ASME Sec. III, subsection NCA 4000, as well as ASME Section VIII. Our conformance to these requirements not only assures our nuclear customers that we are in compliance with these stringent requirements, but provides an added measure of value for our commercial customers (ASME Sec. VIII) as well, who benefit by the sophisticated QA System we employ.
Joseph Oat is ISO 9001:2015 certified with TUV Rheinland of North America, Inc. In addition, we have been audited by NUPIC (the Nuclear Utilities Consortium), dozens of nuclear utilities, Department of Energy facilities, project management companies, and by the Nuclear Regulatory Commission. We are active in the Nuclear Industry Assessment Committee (NIAC) and participate in its management.
Our QA inspectors maintain ASNT-TC-1A Level II or III certifications in virtually all types of Non-Destructive Examination, including UT, PT, RT, LT, and VT. We also employ AWS qualified welding inspectors. We maintain the most modern inspection tools and equipment including helium leak detection equipment, optical measuring tools, boroscopic tools with recording devices, ultrasonic test equipment, and PMI analyzers. All tools and gages are controlled under our QA program and calibrated according to written procedures.
The Quality Assurance System is augmented by our Quality Control Program which assures only the highest quality level of fabricated equipment ships from Joseph Oat Corporation. Every dimension is checked and recorded on as-built drawings. Workmanship is examined not only for conformance to drawing requirements, but for cosmetic appearance. Documentation packages, including Certified Material Test Reports and records of inspections, are professionally prepared and presented to the customer.
Truly at Joseph Oat Corporation, our customers’ investment in the quality equipment we produce will provide the purchaser with enduring benefits to your facility which ultimately will provide economic benefits long after the purchase.
